Live from Camp Wellstone!

This weekend we're bringing Camp Wellstone back to Boise, Idaho. Throughout the weekend we'll be adding live podcasts from the training!

Hey, it's Jen, and I'm here getting ready for Camp Wellstone Boise to start this afternoon. We're at the College of Idaho in Caldwell, and the excitement is building.

After our incredible training here in 2006 (read all about it here), we are anticipating a great crowd of candidates, campaign organizers, and activists working on issues important to the folks in Idaho.

We're also going to be podcasting live from the Camp! Check back here often for updates and conversations with our participants and trainers.

Pat

Learning about Pat and the things he values. Next how to organize with the pats of the world to make change. How to we get to pat's gut values! Intereresting point: key is to reach gut values and not thinking based issues.

Camp Wellstone in Caldwell

What fun to be able to tune in to Camp Wellstone in Caldwell for a number of reasons. First, I am an alum of the training program, the one held in Caldwell not long ago. It was a great experience and I have used many of the skills and ideas that I learned there ever since. Second, my son went to the College of Idaho and it's a joy to listen to a podcast from a campus I know very well. Hats off to the Wellstone people for returning to Idaho and to the campers for their commitment of time, energy, and money to re-establishing the progressive movement in Idaho. Have a great time, Wellstone Campers. Tim Hunt Northern Idaho Field Organizer Planned Parenthood of the Inland Northwest Hayden, Idaho

Thanks for everything

Thanks to Erik, Melvin, Cristina, Jen, and all the rest who shared your knowledge with us this weekend. I had a great time, and just wanted to say that as someone who followed Paul Wellstone's career in the Senate, you all are definitely carrying on his legacy and representing his values well. I hope at some point in my political career that I get to work with each of you in a professional capacity. Thanks again.

One more thing

I put up a post on my blog encouraging my readers to attend Camp Wellstone.

No Fly By when it comes to Idaho

My grateful appreciation goes out to the Wellstone Organization and it's talented trainers for not ignoring Idaho! Personally, I believe in this digital day in age, paying attention to the little often ignored places, raises national awareness and creates involvement at the grassroots level. I and I hope the others that attended your training this past weekend will not let your teachings wither.

Awesome Training This Week at the College of Idaho

It was wonderful training. I started by asking two of my early donors to give again (every six weeks). But I ended by connecting with some new people, including our progressive candidate for U.S. Senator, Larry Larroco and re reconnecting with some people I needed to continue with. I hope to help change politics here in Idaho...not just the policies but the tone of the discourse...Bob P.S. I might just take a picture of the bridge near Melvin's district to point out the legislature's need to take care of infrastructure...

campwellstone

Camp Wellstone exceeded my expectations. I took the actatvest track and I was proud of all our trainers they must have been worn out by the end of the week end, because I was just from listening. As president of United Vision for Idaho my heartfelt thanks for coming back to Idaho.
